Raymond James Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Tampa, Florida that was opened in 1998. It's home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL) and the University of South Florida (USF) Bulls college football program. The capacity of most sporting events is 69,218 people. However, for special events of higher importance, the capacity can be expanded to about 75,000 with the addition of temporary seats.

Large purses are not allowed in the stadium. This is because they can be used to smuggle in contraband.

Beach bags are not allowed in the stadium. They are too large and can obstruct the view of other fans.

Other Policies You Should Know Before Game Day

Before you head to the game, make sure you know the policies of the stadium. There are a few other policies that you should be aware of before game day.

Animal Policy

Service dogs (animals trained to provide services and tasks for persons with disabilities) are allowed in the stadium. Support animal requests are not permitted.

Smoking Policy

Raymond James Stadium has set a 100% smoke-free environment and will not allow smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaporizers) or the use of any tobacco products inside the stadium.

Alcohol Policy

All guests purchasing alcohol are required to show ID. There is a limit of two drinks per person. Alcohol will not be available for purchase after the beginning of the fourth quarter at football games or similar events.

Guests may be ejected or even arrested if they pass alcohol to minors or possess alcohol without proof of being at least 21 years old. Alcoholic beverages may not be taken into the stadium. Anyone who tries to bring alcohol from outside Will be considered a violation of the code of conduct will most likely be arrested or forcibly removed by security.

Camera Policy

Longer than 12-inch cameras are not permitted. Camera bags and cases are not allowed. Video recorders and go pro accessories are prohibited.

Banners, Signs, and Flags Policy

Hand-Holds signs are only allowed in Raymond James Stadium. if they meet the following requirements:

  • Signs can't be made of metal or wood
  • Banners and Signs may not block or obstruct the view of any other guests.
  • Banners, Signs, and Flags must be related to the show and not contain obscene or offensive language or pictures.
  • The content of the sign should be event-related and in good taste as determined by the Tampa Sports Authority.
