AT&T Stadium Bag Policy

AT&T Stadium is a fully retractable roof stadium located in Arlington, Texas. It serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys and has been around since 2009 when it was fully completed. It is also the home of the Cotton Bowl Classic and the Big 12 Championship game. The stadium seats 80,000 people, but can be configured to 100,000 seats. It's the largest in the NFL by seating capacity.

The building is owned by Arlington, making it available for a variety of activities such as concerts, basketball games, soccer, college and high school football contests, rodeos, motocross, and Spartan Races. A professional wrestling ring is also on site.

AT&T Stadium bag policy is in place to provide a safer environment for all guests. Bags that are allowed into the stadium include -Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" -One-gallon clear plastic storage bag -Small clutch bags, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap.

AT&T Stadium Bag Policy

In order to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, AT&T Stadium has implemented a strict bag policy.

 Only the following items will be permitted into the stadium:

  • Clear Tote – Plastic, vinyl or PVC no larger than 12″x6″x12″
  • Small clutch bag or purse that is no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a strap.
  • One-gallon clear plastic storage bags (re-sealable) are permitted
  • Guests with medical needs are allowed to bring in medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

AT&T Stadium is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. In order to ensure safety, all guests are required to have their bags inspected before entering the stadium.

AT&T Stadium strictly enforces a bag policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium.

Types of bags allowed in the stadium along with dimensions

There are a few different types of bags that are allowed into the stadium, as long as they adhere to the dimensions listed below. -

Bags Smaller Than 12" x 6" x 12"

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" may be hand-carried or have a shoulder strap are permitted in the stadium. 

One-Gallon Clear Plastic Freezer Bag

One-gallon, clear plastic freezer bags are permitted in the stadium. This is to allow fans to bring necessary items into the stadium while still being able to see through the bag for security purposes.

Clutch Purse Smaller than 4.5" x 6.5"

Smaller clutch purses, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, are permitted in the stadium with or without a handle or strap. These types of bags are allowed so that guests can carry essential items like keys, lipstick, and a phone without having to lug around a large bag.

Medical Bag

An exception to the bag policy is for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose. Patrons with the medically necessary equipment or other medical items must have their items inspected and tagged by security. Guests will be asked to open their medical bags for inspection.

Which bags are not allowed in the stadium?

There are several types of bags that are not allowed in the stadium.

Laptop Bags

Laptop bags are not allowed in the stadium. This includes any bag that is larger than a clear plastic bag and a backpack. All bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no larger than 12" x 6" x 12."

Backpacks

Backpacks are not allowed in the stadium for security reasons. All bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no larger than 12" x 6" x 12".

Gym Bags

Gym bags are not permitted in the stadium. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of all guests. If you have a gym bag, you will need to either leave it at home or in your vehicle.

Large purses

Large purses are not allowed in the stadium. This is for the safety of everyone in the stadium. Purses that are larger than a certain size are not allowed so that they cannot be used to hide prohibited items.

Beach Bags

Beach bags are not allowed in the stadium. They are too large and can obstruct the view of other fans.

Travel bags

There are a few items that are not allowed in the stadium, including travel bags. Any type of bag that is larger than a purse or tote bag. This includes duffle bags, rolling suitcases, and backpack-style bags. If you have any of these items, you are not allowed to bring these bags into the stadium.

Other Policies You Should Know Before Game Day

Policies vary from stadium to stadium, so it's important to know the policies of the stadium you'll be attending before game day. Here are some general policies that are typically in place at stadiums: -

Animal Policy

Due to health and safety concerns, only service animals are allowed in the stadium. No other animals, including emotional support animals, are allowed. This policy is in place for the safety and well-being of all our guests and staff. 

Smoking Policy

Smoking and using e-cigarettes or vaporizers are prohibited in all areas of the stadium. In compliance with the law, guests wishing to smoke may only do so outside the stadium in designated smoking areas.

Designated smoking areas are located in the following places:

  1. Miller Lite and AT&T Plaza, which is at least 50 feet from the stadium entrance.
  2. As well as Outside Entries A, E, F and K, which are also at least 50 feet from the entrances to our club and suites

Alcohol Policy

All guests buying alcohol who look to be under 30 years old must present a valid ID. No alcohol will be sold to anyone who looks like they're intoxicated. There is a two-beer limit per person across all roving vendors. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the stadium. Any attempt to bring alcohol will be considered a violation of the code of conduct and may result in the guest being ejected, arrested or having their tickets taken away.

Alcohol sales will terminate at the end of the third quarter. Management reserves the right to cut off alcohol sales at its discretion. Guests passing alcohol to minors may be asked to leave and will be subject to ejection or arrest. Guests possessing alcohol, who do not have proof of being at least 21 years of age, maybe ejected and refused service for alcohol.

Camera Policy

AT&T Stadium has special rules that affect how you can use cameras while at a game. Compact Cameras are allowed to be used in the stadium as long as it doesn't interfere with the event or other guests’ time. Video Cameras, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and any camera with a lens longer than 3” (detachable or non-detachable) are prohibited in AT&T Stadium.

Banners and Signs Policy

There are a few things you should know about the stadium's Banners, Signs and Flags policies. 

  1. The banner must be event-related and in good taste.
  2. Banners and Signs must not be commercial, political, or obscene in nature.
  3. Banners and Signs cannot obstruct another guest’s view.
  4. Banners and Signs may not be hung, displayed, or affixed to any part of the Stadium structure.
  5. No signs will be allowed on poles or sticks and must be constructed of wood or metal material. Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of stadium policy.
