What's a Clear Bag Policy?

Clear bag policy. The phrase has been buzzing around stadiums, venues, bookstores, and retailers since late 2013. We define a clear bag policy when a venue requires a handbag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC under a specific measurement to attend an event. Progression of the term clear bag policy, started with the NFL issuing a notice to leave large bags at home for the Fall 2013 season. The policy stated only clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags 12x6x12 or smaller would be allowed in. Any smaller handbag should be the size of a gallon Ziploc or clutch bag, which is around the size of a hand.  The goal of the NFL was to build a safer environment and...

Meet The Bag Ladies featuring: The Clear Tote

We would like to introduce Emily & Alyssa, two of MP’s closest friends who review each bag and share where they would wear. All with a good sense of humor. Clear Tote From the Everyday Collection, we designed this clear bag for women who need a clear purse for all occasions. We wanted to have our customers enjoy a clear tote bag that can be used at any event but can be served multi purposely with a pop-in pouch to hide any personal items during the week.  During the week, for the 9-5, use the pop-in pouch to store makeup, personal items, wallet and as, Emily says, “all your secrets.” The pouch is great as it’s faux leather with waterproof...

We observe them in their natural habitats - such as grocery stores, parks, traffic stops, ski resorts, schools...  But I’d have to say the most interesting place to find them - festivals.  Here is a small list of some of the people you may see:  The Super Fan: Their whole outfit is made up of merch from the band they came there to see. In all seriousness, food festivals are great for everyone. It’s a way to see new trends, ways to pair, family friendly, and you’ll be able to see some of the most renowned chefs in the world. (Hello, Giada! (as italians, we gotta give some love)). In the last few years, food photos have been a star on social media and as millennials start to take on healthier habits than previous generations, it makes attendance at food festivals on the rise. With growth, there is always thought...

Clear Bag Regulations: Coachella & Stagecoach

Music festival season is upon us for 2020, kicking off in April with Coachella and Stagecoach in Indio, California. We thought it would be great timing to review bag regulations at these venues so you can start planning ahead to curate your perfect festival attire. While clear bags for women are not as highly regulated at festivals, they still suggest carrying a clear backpack, clear crossbody purse, clear fanny pack or anything that will help the lines move smoothly. Not only does it assist with line movement, it also promotes safety. For the first music festival of the year, Coachella, they require all bags to be smaller than 20”x15”x9”. We suggest checking out our clear backpack to get you through...
